How to Draw Manga Female Eyes

Step 1 - Draw Two Crossing Lines

Start with two crossing reference lines.

Step 2 - Draw Two Ovals

Draw two ovals for the eyes.

Step 3 - Eye Spacing

Notice that the ovals for the eyes are spaced about one eye width apart.

Step 4 - Draw Two Highlight Circles

Draw two circles in the upper left side of your existing circlers. These are highlights. The light is coming from above and to the left of the manga character and these two highlights will remain white. They both go on the left because they are a reflection from the light above.

Step 5 - Draw Two Pupils

Draw to smaller circles inside the previous ones. Do not continue them behind the highlight circles you drew in the previous step.

Step 6 - Darken in the Pupils

Now darken in the pupils, again avoiding the highlight circles.

Step 7 - Draw Two Strait Lines

Draw two strait lines at the bottom of the eyes. Start your lines just inside the eyes, toward the nose, and end it just a little farther to the outside of the head than the eyes themselves.

Step 8 - Draw Two Arches

Draw to arches above the eyes. Start towards where the nose would be and then arch them farther toward the side of the head.

Done

The eye’s are complete.
